Traffic stop in Tom Green County leads to drug, weapons arrest

SAN ANGELO, Texas — SAN ANGELO, Texas (AP) — A traffic stop in Tom Green County resulted in the arrest of an Arkansas man on multiple drug and weapons charges, authorities said.

Patrol deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle April 6 in the 11700 block of North U.S. Highway 87. During the stop, a deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

The driver, identified as Edgar Madrigal, 35, of Arkansas, was found in possession of more than 40 grams of methamphetamine, various narcotics packaging materials, more than an ounce of marijuana, two pistols and a rifle, authorities said…
