MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Severe Weather Days have been declared for both Monday and Tuesday for the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms affecting the FOX13 viewing area.
There’s a Wind Advisory for parts of eastern Arkansas from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday, as well as a Level 3 out of 5 threat north of Interstate 40 in the afternoon/evening and a Level 2 out of 5 Tuesday.
Make sure to be weather aware going into the afternoon through evening, especially if you live north of Interstate 40 between Jonesboro to Dyersburg.
It’s a mild start to the day under a partly to mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures this Monday afternoon are expected to be in the 80s across the Mid-South region.
Timing for storm development/arrival looks to be around 10 p.m. for portions of northeastern Arkansas and the southern Missouri Bootheel. Storms arrive in Memphis between midnight-2 a.m. Tuesday, then depart the viewing area by 3-5 a.m.
Damaging wind is the biggest threat, but heavy rain, some hail and a few tornadoes are also possible…
