Jonesboro, Pocahontas among 22 Arkansas towns receiving $25 million in state funding

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Four Northeast Arkansas communities will receive more than $5.5 million in state funding for industrial site development.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission announced Tuesday that 22 communities across the state will receive $25 million through the Arkansas Site Development Program.

The following Northeast Arkansas towns are among those receiving funds:

  • City of Pocahontas – $1,269,054
  • Jonesboro Unlimited – $3,010,000
  • Mississippi County Economic Development – $1,030,74
  • Newport Economic Development Commission – $262,800
