Morrilton man gets 13-year federal sentence for methamphetamine trafficking

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A Morrilton man is returning to federal prison to serve a 13-year sentence after being on supervised release after a 71-month sentence.

United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas Jonathan D. Ross said on Tuesday that 43-year-old Aaron Lynn Parks will serve the sentence after pleading guilty to intent to distribute methamphetamine. Parks was also sentenced to 5 years of supervised release after he completes his sentence.

The federal system has no parole provision.

Officials said Parks was arrested after a July 2024 chase. Officers in Conway pulled Parks over for not having insurance. He pulled into a service station, but then ran into the woods, they said in their report…
