LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock School District is making history in the Natural State, starting the first-ever dual language instruction program at two elementary schools.
Starting in the fall, Chicot and Watson Elementary schools will dedicate one kindergarten classroom to students who are learning English as a second language. 80% of their class time, including science, reading, and math lessons will be taught in Spanish. 20% of their class time will be dedicated to social studies and reading classes taught in English.
