Free ‘Spring Fling Festival’ family event in Little Rock this Sunday

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials said an event set for midtown Little Rock on May 17 is both free and family-oriented.

The Spring Fling Festival runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, located at 2223 Durwood Road. Organizers said it will feature live zoo animals, hands-on science activities, a petting zoo, games, a free lunch and summer activity resources for families.

Little Rock makes ‘Top 100 Best Places to Live’ list

Part of Durwood Road will be closed during the festival to create a safer, walkable gathering place for attendees.

This is the event’s fourth year. Organizers said it has always focused on being a welcoming environment for families from midtown Little Rock and beyond. The festival is designed to encourage community engagement, provide accessible activities for children, and help families discover local resources, organizations, and summer opportunities, they said.

The Spring Fling Festival has both scheduled and ongoing events.
