Documents reveal details behind LRSD investigation into former Parkview volleyball coach

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Newly released Little Rock School District investigation records obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request are shedding new light on why former Parkview Arts and Science Magnet High School volleyball coach Kendahl Davenport was suspended without pay and will not return for the 2026-27 school year.

The 56-page investigative file outlines allegations involving student supervision, social media activity, student interactions and violations of district policy. While the district repeatedly states investigators found no evidence of sexual misconduct, the records detail what Superintendent Dr. Jermall Wright described as a “serious lapse in professional judgment.”

The investigation began March 11 after Parkview school resource officers were informed of allegations involving a staff member and students. According to a Little Rock Police Department incident report included in the FOIA documents, officers were told rumors were circulating among students regarding “inappropriate relationships and/or conversations” involving Davenport and students.
