LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — Curiosity can take you a lot of places, sometimes all the way to a national competition with animals, conservation and a pretty big scholarship on the line.
Abigail, a 9-year-old Arkansas student, is competing to become the 2026 Junior Ranger, a title tied to a competition that blends education and conservation while supporting the National Wildlife Federation’s work to protect wildlife and wild places for future generations.
Abigail said her favorite animal right now is “an elephant”, specifically “the African elephant.” When asked how her interest in animals began, she pointed to simple beginnings: “Yeah, just being with animals.”…
