JACKSONVILLE, Ark. – During kindergarten graduation Thursday night, teachers and staff at Jacksonville Elementary School paid tribute to 6-year-old A’Mir Houston who died days before the ceremony.
During the ceremony, Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Owoh and Principal Kenneth Miller paid tribute to Houston and said he was deeply loved by his classmates, teachers and school family.
“In honor of A’Mir, JES teachers, including Mrs. Lindsay Bostic, wore Spider-Man shirts — a tribute to something he loved,” a post on social media said. “A’Mir’s mother was also presented with a special Spider-Man-themed skateboard wrapped with love and signed with the names of his teachers.”
