DENVER (KDVR) — The theme of up-and-down temperatures continues in the Denver weather forecast, as this weekend will feature cooler temperatures below normal.
Although most areas will stay dry, there will be a chance for a few showers or storms, especially Sunday, but mostly along and south of I-70.
Denver weather tonight: Clear and calm
We’ll have quiet weather across the state overnight Friday. Skies will be clear and light winds around 5-10 miles per hour from the east before turning west. Temperatures will be close to seasonal normals.
Denver weather tomorrow: Sunny and pleasantly warm
Highs Saturday afternoon will be lower than Friday, with highs expected in the upper 70s to low 80s in northeast Colorado, slightly below normal. It’ll be much warmer along the western slope and southeastern plains with another day of highs in the middle and upper 90s.
Looking ahead: A few storms Sunday, otherwise drier for mid-month
Clouds move in overnight Saturday, resulting in a mostly cloudy day Sunday. That will also cool temperatures even more, with highs only expected to be around 70 degrees for the city. Winds will pick up, and there will be a slightly better chance for showers and storms, though areas south of Denver have a better opportunity.
A warming trend begins Monday with highs in the upper 70s, but still below normal. It jumps to the upper 80s on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. Wednesday looks to be the hottest day of next week with highs in the lower and middle 90s. Most of next week looks dry, but a few storms may return next Friday…
