Don’t call 911 for fireworks unless it’s an emergency, police say

ARVADA, Colo. (KDVR)- Law enforcement agencies across the Denver metro area are asking residents to think twice before calling 911 for fireworks complaints ahead of the Fourth of July.

Officials say dispatch centers already see a surge of calls during the holiday, and those lines need to stay open for emergencies involving fires, crashes and violent incidents.
