Per a report from KDVR, a man in Castle Rock is facing a felony animal cruelty charge after allegedly killing a mother bear in the Oak Grove Court area in July. The mother bear was a familiar sight around the neighborhood. Per previous reporting, the mother’s cubs were taken to a rehabilitation facility after her death.
