Denver weather: Turning colder with accumulating snow across Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — The week of mild days is about to end in Denver weather with two cold fronts on the way and snow.

The first cold front will arrive Thursday night and set the stage for a colder Friday. The second front arrives later on Friday with snow that will continue past midnight.

According to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, the heaviest snow and deepest totals will hit the mountains, especially the northern mountains. An inch or two is possible along the Front Range and in metro Denver, depending on where some stronger snow bands may set up.

Weather tonight: Passing flurries and breezy

The leading edge of the colder air arriving Thursday night could produce a few flurries as it moves from north to south along the Front Range and Eastern Plains. A light coating is possible, mainly on grassy areas and more likely south of the city. It will be breezy at times as the cold front passes.
