Crime Watch: 3 violent crimes leave 4 injured overnight in metro

Wet weather did not stop a string of violent crimes throughout Denver overnight Friday.

The Denver Police Department responded to three separate violent incidents Friday night and Saturday morning, leading to four people injured. The police continue to investigate each incident, according to a social media posts by the department.

Police first responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of East 20th Ave., near the Five Points neighborhood, around 6:30 p.m. Friday. One victim was found with an unknown extent of injuries and transported to a nearby hospital.

Investigators are still working to develop suspect information in connection to the shooting.

Denver police then responded to a report of a double stabbing near the 1400 block of South Utica St., in the Mar Lee neighborhood, around 11:30 p.m. Friday, according to a subsequent social media post.

Two victims were transported to a nearby hospital with an unknown extent of injuries. One person was detained, though the police department did not provide specific information regarding the potential suspect.
