Deputies search for suspect in Friday kidnapping

DENVER (KDVR) — Deputies in Douglas County were searching for the suspect in a kidnapping incident that happened Friday evening.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, just before 7 p.m. Friday, a victim was threatened with a handgun by a man and forced to drive from the 9200 block of South Broadway in Highlands Ranch to Broadway and Chenango Avenue in Englewood.

The victim was not physically injured in the incident.

The man was described as a white man who was around 6 feet tall. He has stubbly facial hair, a tattoo on the left side of his face and a tattoo on his index finger.

The sheriff’s office said he was wearing a black hat, brown or tan boots and a black zip-up hoodie. He also had a dark bicycle.
