The Denver teen who exchanged gunfire with a police officer last summer will now serve seven years in the Youthful Offender System. A Denver District Court Judge sentenced 18-year-old Steve Calderon to seven years in the Youthful Offender System with 24 years suspended Thursday on charges of attempted first-degree murder, according to a spokesperson from the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
