“I would describe Kevin as MacGyver,” said good friend Alexander Sutherland. He said there are few things his pro-level triathlete friend loved to do more than cycling in the Rocky Mountains.

Well, other than paragliding, parasailing and being a husband and father of two girls.

“Loved his wife more than anything,” said Sutherland. “He was just a great friend.”

According to the National Highway Transportation Administration , there were 16 fatal crashes involving a cyclist in 2022 in Colorado, which is the most recent data available.

“I don’t think people realize: the cars against the bike are gonna win, every time,” said Sutherland.
