GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. ( KREX ) — On Thursday, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado Springs Police Department arrested the suspect in Grand Junction’s ANB Bank robbery after officials say he robbed a second establishment in Centennial, Colorado.
The Grand Junction Police Department said in a release a man matching the bank robbery suspect’s description entered a jewelry and loan business at about 4 p.m. Monday, stole jewelry then fled the scene on foot.
GJPD seeks help to find ANB Bank robbery suspect
The GJPD worked closely with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force to identify the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.
The suspect was contacted and taken into custody on Thursday. Malachi James Salus, 22, faces charges of aggravated robbery and theft related to the Grand Junction ANB Bank robbery, and additional charges related to the Arapahoe County robbery.
