Sales tax on the ballot: Colorado election results 2024

(DENVER) — Voters in Denver and several other communities will be deciding on issues that could increase sales tax to fund various programs in their communities.

Proponents say that because these sales tax increases generally only amount to a few cents for every $10 spent they are worth it, however opponents see them as a burden on the people who are paying them and say they have an outsize impact on people with lower income.
