Firefighters rescue kitten who got its head stuck in an unusual spot

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Firefighters with the Poudre Fire Authority responded to a call that required heavy machinery and powerful tools — but not for putting out a fire. The call was about a kitten whose head was stuck in a dumpster.

When crews showed up, the feline was more than a little stuck. The team posted about the incident on social media with pictures showing the cat’s head wedged in a small hole on the side of a metal dumpster. Crews said the kitten was trying to leave the dumpster when its head got stuck.

The crew said the material on the dumpster was strong, and the tight fit of the kitten’s head needed precise power tools usually used in vehicle extrication.
