Chiefs Reveal Carson Wentz Confidence Ahead Of Week 18

Week 18 is nearly upon the Kansas City Chiefs as they take on the Denver Broncos at Mile High, with Carson Wentz getting his first start of the season.

Due to the Chiefs’ position, this Week 18 contest won’t affect the team’s playoff seeding, which has meant head coach Andy Reid can shuffle the magnets around and rest some key players.

One such player is Patrick Mahomes, so it will be the Wentz show in Denver.

But how has Wentz handled the transition from only doing scout team reps all season to getting all the first-team reps this week?

“You can tell he’s done it before and gone through the whole week process that it takes to put the game plan in storage there in your mind and be able to see it and then execute it,” Reid said . “I think he’s done a good job, think the guys have confidence in him, which probably tells you the whole story, but he’s done well.”

It is easy to forget that Wentz was the second overall draft pick in 2016 and led the Philadelphia Eagles to an 11-2 record in 2017 before his knee injury, which sadly derailed his career trajectory.
