A man is reportedly riding around on an electric mini-bike and slapping women on the buttocks in the area of a popular Denver metro trail.
The Lakewood Police Department has released the details of two groping incidents that have occurred recent days that are believed to involve the same suspect.
The first incident took place on January 1 at about 3 p.m., when the suspect approached a woman from behind while she was running along Bear Creek Trail. He then assaulted her by slapping her on the buttocks as he passed. She was west of Kipling St. and east of Fox Hollow Golf Course when the assault occurred.
Another similar incident took place on January 2 around 3:15 p.m., involving a woman near South Kipling St. and Yale Avenue near the Bear Creek Trail.
According to Lakewood PD, the suspect has been described as Hispanic with a mustache, a Spanish accent, and a black backpack with a red ‘Levi’s’ patch across the back. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie under a tan work jacket and what appear to be blue jeans.
