If you stood on the corner of Chambers Road and Alameda Parkway in Aurora back in 1956, you’d see nothing but farmland—rows of crops stretching out under the open sky. Fast forward almost 70 years, and that same patch of land is about to become home to a brand-new Sprouts Farmers Market, set to open in April 2025.
From Dirt to Grocery Aisles
Take a look at the old aerial images, and you’ll see how much things have changed. First, farmland. Then, by 2023, a patch of overgrown grass sitting quietly at a busy intersection. By 2024? Construction is in full swing, dirt is flying, and soon, the foundation is set for Aurora’s newest grocery store. It’s a big shift, but Aurora has been growing like crazy, so this isn’t surprising.
