True crime series interviews Colorado DA in 2015 homicide case

DENVER ( KDVR ) — The district attorney for Adams and Broomfield counties may be featured on a true crime show after he spoke with a television network about a homicide case that ended with a conviction in 2015.

Colorado’s 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office posted on X that District Attorney Brian Mason sat down with television network A&E for the new series “Murder at the Motel,” which looks at murder cases in motels.

So far, the series has one season with seven episodes featuring stories from all over the U.S. The show said the series is from the perspective of the family members and law enforcement who worked on the cases.

The DA’s office said Mason was interviewed by the network and shared his insights on the investigation into Abigail Cozad’s murder in 2015 after she was found dead at the Primrose Motel on Federal Boulevard. Mason shared details about the trial and how justice was served…
