‘All of the people who loved those 191 are affected’: Return to Nature Funeral home owners change their plea agreements

DENVER, Colo. (KKTV) – Back in October, Jon and Carie Hallford both pled guilty to federal charges. Tuesday, Carie Hallford, changed her guilty plea, which forces her case to head to trial. A federal court also rejected a portion of Jon Hallford’s plea agreement, which set a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison.

Crystina Page used Return to Nature for her son and says she is looking forward to Carie’s day in court. She believes she may finally get some answers to her questions about what happened inside the walls of Return to Nature Funeral Home.

“I think for myself and a lot of the families, the lack of knowledge is one of the most frustrating aspects of this case,” Page said…
