DENVER (KDVR) — As a new case of measles was confirmed in Maryland on Sunday , experts are advising people that vaccination is the best prevention method .
As of March 7, the Centers for Disease Control confirmed 222 cases of the measles across the country, nearly 200 of them in Texas, including one fatal case in an unvaccinated child, and now a second death attributed to the virus in New Mexico. Officials say that person was unvaccinated.
