DENVER — The Denver Police Department announced on Tuesday that one of their officers has been arrested for domestic violence.
Officer Troy Smith, 50, was arrested in Brighton on Friday for investigation of third-degree assault – domestic violence. According to court documents, he slammed a family member into patio furniture.
Smith joined DPD in 2007 and was most recently assigned to DPD’s Airport Police Bureau, according to the agency. Smith has been placed in a non-patrol assignment and will remain in that role while the case goes through the courts…
