Let’s talk snow – there’s more of it on the way to Colorado, and it’s looking like three waves can be expected over upcoming days, per mapping from the National Weather Service.
A first round of snow hits from Friday night through Sunday, though deeper accumulation shouldn’t be too widespread. While some projected totals reach into the 12 to 18-inch range in the ‘high-end’ scenario, most peaks around the state should get six inches or less. Exceptions are found in the mountainous area north of I-70, where some of these deeper totals may be seen in the area of Rocky Mountain National Park and along the Park Range, east of Steamboat Springs.
