I-25 reopens after driver flees crash on I-25 and is killed in crash with 3rd car

DENVER (KDVR) — Interstate 25 was closed near Fort Collins Thursday evening for a deadly crash.

According to the Colorado State Patrol, the incident started as a two-vehicle crash under the Harmony Road bridge on I-25. One vehicle reportedly rear-ended the other.

There were no injuries from the initial crash, but one of the drivers fled the crash on foot. CSP said they were then struck by a vehicle.

The driver was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

CSP said southbound lanes would remain closed for an undetermined amount of time during the investigation. Both other drivers are cooperating with the investigation, CSP said…
