Controversial Colorado gun bill is heading to Governor’s desk to be signed into law

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – On Friday evening, Colorado lawmakers passed a controversial gun bill. Senate Bill 003 is now headed to the Governor Jared Polis’s desk to be signed into law. Senators voted 19 to 15 to approve the bill’s amended version.

The senate bill has gained both support and resentment from Coloradans since it was first introduced in January.

The bill would require people who are wanting to purchase specific firearms, to apply for a permit through their local sheriff’s office. If approved for that, the person would then have to take courses through Colorado Parks and Wildlife before being able to purchase specific gun…
