Dog falls 100 feet from edge of cliff at popular tourist spot in Colorado

A scary situation that unfolded at Colorado National Monument in recent days fortunately had a happy ending.

According to an April 2 post from the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, a visitor to the park – which is known for its dramatic landscape and steep drop-offs – brought their pet dog along for a scenic drive in the area. Upon pulling over to take in a scenic view, the owner opened their door to let the pet out of the vehicle.

Unfortunately, the pup was excited and started running toward a nearby ledge…
