Snow totals: Here’s how much fell across Colorado in early April storm

DENVER ( KDVR ) — Snowfall overnight Friday brought much of Colorado a fresh layer of snow to wake up to Saturday morning.

The cold is not expected to last long, with temperatures in the 70s ahead in the Denver weather forecast.

Denver weather: Cool again Saturday, warmer weather coming

Since Friday, some areas around Denver only saw traces of snow, while others in the high country received more than a foot and a half of snow.

The highest snow total was recorded in Costilla County at 18.3 inches near La Veta Pass. There was also over a foot of snow recorded in Huerfano County and in Rye.

Any snow remaining on the ground around the Front Range and metro area is expected to melt as temperatures warm on Saturday to the mid-40s…
