More snow? Denver’s late April snowstorm could be the last

DENVER ( KDVR ) — It has felt like summer in Denver, but the late April snowstorm reminded Coloradans that snow wasn’t over yet.

It’s been a mild winter in Colorado, with even March, the snowiest month, recording only 2 inches of snow, marking one of Denver’s least snowy Marchs in history. April brought more warm weather, with temperatures hitting a record 85 degrees and many days in the high 70s.

However, there was also snow with those warm temperatures.

The recent snowstorm on Friday served as a reminder of winter, leaving over a foot of snow , delaying over a thousand flights and shutting down high country roads . While this snowstorm left as much as over 5 inches in Denver, Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Greg Perez said it could be the last.
