There are many unique pieces of art in Colorado, but in one area of Aurora you’ll find several very large pieces that are stunning.
The Aurora Highlands Area Holds Very Large Outdoor Art Pieces
Having grown up in Loveland, Colorado, I’m familiar with towns in state having outdoor art exhibits. Loveland’s Benson Sculpture Garden and Chapungu Sculpture Park, both in Loveland, are to be experienced.
If you enjoy seeing mystifying, large, pieces of art in an outdoor setting, Aurora has a place you need to see; and it’s free.
You will find many pieces of art at The Aurora Highlands, including large pieces, small pieces, and graffiti pieces, like above.
The Aurora Highlands, near E-470 and I-70 in Aurora is 4,000-acres planned community. Part of that community is the art is has on display outdoors, mostly inside of Hogan Park at Highlands Creek. In May of 2025, I ventured to Aurora Highlands and Hogan Park to see their art, and shoot some disc golf that’s at Hogan Park.
