DENVER (KDVR) — USA Today named three Colorado amphitheaters among the 10 best amphitheaters in the nation.
There are over 1,000 amphitheaters in the U.S., and while the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre made the top 10 list, another Colorado amphitheater ranked higher.

USA Today readers and editors independently selected the venues that stand out as the most exceptional with their natural beauty, exceptional acoustics and immersive atmosphere.
These are the top 10 amphitheaters in the nation, according to USA Today:
- Pavilion at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts – Bethel, New York
- PNC Bank Arts Center – Holmdel, New Jersey
- The Gorge Amphitheater – Quincy, Washington
- Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater – Vail, Colorado
- Ascend Amphitheater – Nashville, Tennessee
- Koussevitzky Music Shed – Lenox, Massachusetts
- Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre – Morrison, Colorado
- Tuacahn Amphitheatre – Ivins, Utah
- Dillon Amphitheater – Dillon, Colorado
- Moody Amphitheater – Austin, Texas
The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail, also known as “The Amp,” ranked the highest of any Colorado venue at No. 4.
