A fatal shooting involving Denver Police left one man dead near a Westwood middle school on Monday night. The incident, which unfolded around 10:30 p.m., began when officers were called to the 900 block of South Hazel Court in response to reports of two adults outside the nearby school. As per 9NEWS, the situation escalated to gunfire exchange between the suspect and law enforcement.
According to KDVR, the confrontation arose after officers pursued an armed man who was instructed to drop his weapon but reportedly failed to comply.
