LITTLETON, Colo. (KDVR) — Whether you’re boating, floating or boarding South Metro Fire Rescue wants to remind life-saving precautions people should take at Chatfield State Park.
“We live in Colorado and you never know what is going to happen, you don’t know what the weather is going to be like or what is going to happen in the next sixty seconds,” said Veronica Lopez, who was visiting the reservoir with her family. “It is always good to be prepared and have everything.”
A life jacket is required for most activities at the reservoir. The fifteen hundred acre lake is home to beaches, boats and boards. Without a lifeguard on duty, it is especially important to take precautions and keeping your eyes on the skies in case bad weather comes rolling off the mountains…
