GOLDEN, Colo. — On a snowy night on Nov. 6, 2024, along Highway 58 heading into Golden, two Golden police officers were struck by a drunk driver who crashed into them as they were assisting a driver near the side of the road.
Golden Police Officer Evan Dunn was killed and Officer Bethany Grusling was seriously injured when the driver struck them while they were assisting another motorist on the side of the road.
