DENVER (KDVR) — An ex-boyfriend, in an apparent fit of drunken jealousy, attempted to run over the mother of his ex-girlfriend and then crashed into the Westminster house on Sunday morning twice, after also damaging a second home.
The incident began at about 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, in the Hyland Greens neighborhood of Westminster, as a woman was attempting to move out of her mother’s house with a new boyfriend. Her ex-boyfriend, Matthew Curran, 30, had gotten word of the new couple moving in together, and the woman told police she believed this upset him.

The woman told police that she had dated Curran for about six months and their relationship ended in July 2024. Although there had been no police reports made about his conduct, the woman said Curran had “stalking tendencies” and that he had “continued to make fake social media accounts to attempt to contact her.”
