DENVER (KDVR) – A busy downtown Denver intersection is back open after a serious two-vehicle crash early Saturday.
The Denver Police Department posted on social media around 5:20 a.m. Saturday that two cars were involved in a crash along Speer Boulevard at 8th Avenue. Two people were taken to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is not yet known, police said.
“We’re right next to Denver Health so they were probably able to get on scene really quick,” said neighbor Paul Johnson, who heard the crash. “Both cars are demolished, front-end demolished. Seeing them torn apart like they are, is a little unsettling. The airbags in the second car that’s further down the street, were completely exploded so it doesn’t look good.”…
