Macaulay Culkin Is Coming to Denver for a 35th Anniversary Screening of Home Alone

Santa Claus is comin’ to town…and so is Macaulay Culkin, star of the cult-favorite holiday film Home Alone, which turns 35 this year.

On Tuesday, December 9, the Paramount Theatre will host a screening for the film’s anniversary, followed by an exclusive live and moderated interview with Culkin, who will dish behind-the-scenes details about his experiences on set bringing Kevin McCallister to life, his favorite memories from filming and his take on why this movie has become such a beloved holiday classic that added many lines to the pop-culture lexison.

Filmed largely in Winnetka, Illinois, the movie follows the antics of eight-year-old Kevin, accidentally left behind when his large, affluent family (“You’re a disease, Kevin”) flies to Paris for Christmas (“I made my family disappear!”). Kevin is left to fend for himself (“I went shopping yesterday: I got milk, eggs and fabric softener”) and fight off burglars, aka “the Wet Bandits,” trying to break into the house…
