The Arapahoe Community College (ACC) Foundation has introduced the Terry Nursing Scholarship. The scholarship supports students in the LPN to Nursing program at ACC. It was established through a donation from Ms. Terry M. Terry, a Littleton resident and member of the Littleton Rotary Club. The scholarship aims to help students address financial challenges as they pursue careers in healthcare.
Ms. Terry has worked as a registered nurse, independent practitioner, and OSHA industrial hygienist. She credits her career development to support from family, educators, and colleagues. Ms. Terry first connected with ACC by taking a 3-credit class through the college’s Workforce & Community Programs. This class helped her move from hospital nursing to industrial hygiene.
In 1990, Ms. Terry joined a health and safety team in Poland after the fall of the Berlin Wall. She observed differences in workplace safety and public health standards in Eastern Europe. This experience influenced her focus on worker protection in the United States…
