Mother And Son Hikers Found Safe In Colorado Mountains A Day After Failing To Return

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. (TMX) – A pair of overdue hikers in Colorado were found safe Monday evening after they failed to return as planned Sunday evening, officials said.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office announced at around 6:30 p.m. Monday that “dozens” of searchers with canines and drones were out looking for a mother and son at Echo Lake Park, in the mountains west of Denver, after they failed to return from their hike as expected Sunday afternoon or evening.

Officials described the mother as 60 years old, 130 pounds, and likely wearing a purple ski coat, and described her son as 25 years old, 220 pounds and likely wearing a brown jacket with a white collar…
