LITTLETON, Colo. — A Littleton mother has transformed her front yard into a community food pantry to help families whose SNAP benefits remain delayed due to the government shutdown, starting with just $100 and a Facebook post that she said has generated more than 25,000 clicks.
Christie MacMurray opened her home to anyone needing food assistance, setting up donations in her front yard each weekday morning after taking her daughter to school.
