Man dead after being hit by 3 cars in crosswalk, 2 fled the scene: Aurora police

DENVER (KDVR) — A man is dead after police believe he was hit by three vehicles, two of which left the scene, in a crosswalk on Tower Road in Aurora late Thursday night.

Just before midnight, the Aurora Police Department said witnesses called police after finding a pedestrian lying in the roadway. He was found at a signal-controlled crosswalk at the Unnamed Creek Trail on South Tower Road.

The man, who police said was 23 years old, was taken to a local hospital, where he died. Stephen Carter identified the victim as his brother. He told FOX31’s Vicente Arenas that his brother was a good person, a father who loved to work out and enjoyed taking midnight walks to clear his mind.
