Barry Morphew pleads not guilty in wife’s death, trial set for October

DENVER (KDVR) — Barry Morphew on Monday pleaded not guilty to the murder of his wife in 2020.

The case has been ongoing since Suzanne Morphew was reported missing in 2020 after she went for a bike ride and did not return. In 2021, Barry faced a first-degree murder charge related to her disappearance, but he was released from jail on bond, and the charge was dismissed in 2022.

Suzanne’s remains were found in 2023, and her death was ruled a homicide. Last June, Barry was indicted by a grand jury for the first-degree murder of his wife, and he was jailed for about three months before he posted a $3 million bond…
