A high-speed chase and exchange of gunfire concluded with the arrest of a carjacking suspect and a deputy wounded in Douglas County earlier this week. The events unfolded around 8:30 p.m. on Monday when deputies tracked down 43-year-old Daniel Reynaldo Tolentino, suspected of armed carjacking at a local car wash. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office reported the victim was unharmed during the carjacking at the intersection of Broadway and Panama. Tolentino, the alleged assailant, was eventually apprehended by law enforcement, including both DCSO deputies and Littleton Police Department (LPD) officers.
