HAYS, Kan. (WIBW) – A Colorado man suffered serious injuries late Wednesday in a one-car, crossover crash on Interstate 70 in Ellis County, officials said.
The crash was reported at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday on westbound I-70 on the east side of Hays. The location was about two miles east of the US-183 highway junction.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, a Mercedes-Benz C300 car was traveling east on I-70 when the driver lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason.
The car then went off the left — or north — side of the eastbound lanes of travel and entered the center median, where it vaulted a crossover before striking the eastbound and westbound guardrails…
