Landlords that claimed gang takeover at Aurora properties fight state investigation in court

DENVER — A company that claimed Venezuelan gangs took over its Aurora properties has been resisting a state investigation since September 2024. After several requests to delay, CBZ Management filed its opening brief with the Colorado Court of Appeals.

In a 50-page document, CBZ argued that a Denver judge abused their powers in ruling in favor of the Colorado Attorney General.
