DELTA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — A GoFundMe has been set up for a wildland firefighter from Cedaredge after his approximately $1,600 of firefighting equipment was stolen from his truck in Denver.
On Jan. 23, Jedediah Powell’s truck was broken into, and his tools were stolen while he was inside a Home Depot in Denver. Reportedly, a police report was filed, and security cameras had captured the incident.
Carol Handle, one of the fundraiser organizers, created the GoFundMe to help Powell replace his stolen items. Handle described Powell’s work ethic and character, stating that outside of his firefighting work, Powell has used his skills to help an orphanage, trim trees and clear debris for his community…
